Suck it Up?!?!

As many of you know I am in the Bahamas taking a ThetaHealing training so I will be able to teach it to others when I return home. It is being held at an ashram, which is a spiritual place that has many rules - such as up at 5:30am, 2 hour meditation and chanting with a group, 2 hours yoga, vegetarian brunch with no coffee, 5 hours workshop, then 2 more hours yoga, vegetarian supper and 2 more hour meditation and chanting. Needless to say I was getting quite anxious thinking about being able to do it all, and keep alert enough for class. For the week before I left I kept thinking - if only the workshop was at a hotel I would feel so much better.

Less than 24 hours before I left for the Bahamas I saw a woman’s post on ThetaHealing facebook page that she was staying at a nearby hotel as opposed to the ashram. What?!?!? Why didn’t I think of that! The more I thought about it, the better it felt. I talked about it with my hubby and since he knows me best, encouraged me to stay at a hotel. (I do everything better when I am comfortable).

The next morning I called the ashram to talk about it with them. The guy I spoke to wasn’t very sympathetic and told me I was just trying to find something to worry about; I hung up feeling very discouraged. I was torn between what seemed like the easy way (just staying at the ashram since it was already arranged) and the more difficult way - finding another place to stay, which was going to be more money and more of a hassle to get to the ashram as they don’t have roads in, it is by boat.

I did what I always do when I am too wrapped up in my problems to be able to hear my team’s guidance - I phoned my friend. She said many things that helped me realize I needed to change to the hotel. But the thing that I needed to hear the most was this - “Glenyce we no longer have to push ourselves to do things that don’t feel comfortable doing.” and what I heard her say was that we no longer have to “suck it up.”
That makes perfect sense. When we push ourselves to do something that feels uncomfortable we are going against our team’s guidance. They speak to us through our feelings. When we take action from a heavy feeling the outcome will never be good, and neither will the process that got us there.

There was a time, many, many years ago where people had to do whatever it took to get food on the table, to take care of their families. It wasn’t about what felt right, it was about survival. We aren’t in that energy anymore. More and more people are realizing the importance of changing their work to what they love, changing their relationships so they are happy, changing their diets so they feel good. Whatever it may be - we are so blessed to be in the energy now that our purpose is to feel joy and to share it with others.

As soon as I got off the phone with my friend I called the ashram back and told them what I was doing. This time I talked to a lovely woman who gave me all the information I needed. I am staying at a beautiful hotel, with a very easy shuttle ride and 5 minute walk on the most beautiful white sand beach I have ever seen to the ashram. I go to the 5 hours of class and the rest of the time is mine to enjoy the beautiful Bahamas. WOW! The ashram is very beautiful also, but I know I wouldn’t have been happy there 24/7.

Another thing my friend pointed out was how I created this - all last week I kept thinking - if only this was at a hotel... then bam, I connect with someone who is staying at a hotel... I wasn’t 100% dedicated to following my intuition about staying at a hotel...so I created an unsympathetic guy to talk with, then I become 100% dedicated to following my intuition...and I create a lovely woman to speak with.

For me it came down to worthiness. Am I worthy of doing what I know I need to so I can feel comfortable, learn everything I want to learn and enjoy it OR go with the crowd, do what I said I was going to, and just “suck it up?” And just like you, I am worthy of everything that brings me JOY. We are sparks of the Creator (God, Universe, Earth energy; whatever you want to call it).

Many blessings,

New Moon Manifestations - May 13, 2010

As the energy of the new moon is that of birthing it is an excellent time to set your intentions, goals and dreams. As the month progresses and the moon changes, it is much like planting a seed and having it come into full bloom. Your intentions planted on the new moon will develop roots and grow strong.

Here are the steps I use to set my intentions on the new moon:

  1. Set aside 20 - 30 minutes of quiet time that you will not be disturbed. Use a space that you feel comfortable in.
  2. Start of with a prayer asking your “team” to assist you in your intentions. Clear the space, I use “Release Them” aromatherapy spray.
  3. Take 5 minutes to get yourself calm and relaxed. I use a Theta brainwave meditation cd.
  4. Using a notebook specifically for new moon manifestations write at the top of a new page the current date along with "I accept these things into my life now or something better for my highest good and for the highest good of all concerned."
  5. Now list all the things that you desire in your life. These can be things you want to do, to have and to be. Be sure not to limit yourself. Dream BIG!!!
  6. Make sure they are written in the positive, present tense, as though they have already happened. (see examples below)
  7. Once you have completed your list take some time to thank your “team” for assisting and guiding your intentions.
Throughout the month you will received guidance about action steps to take for your intentions to come into full bloom. Be sure to follow through on these steps! There is a saying that goes something like this - God (or Universe or Divine or Earth energy - whatever you want to call it) can only help you as far as you are willing to help yourself.

Often in readings the Angels tell my clients that they are the ones holding up the manifestations, nothing else. When you get guided action - take it!!! It is much easier to get guided action steps from your team when you are meditating regularly. See my previous post about meditation and a download for a free guided meditation.

Examples of properly written intentions -

I am healthy, strong, and beautiful.
I am profoundly clairvoyant, clairaudient and clairsentient.
I enjoy traveling the world for business, holidays and spiritual renewal.
I am calm and relaxed at every moment.
I easily see the love in myself, and others.
I love and enjoy my lake front cabin.
I love being financially free.
I enjoy being filled with the right ideas of how to serve others.
I enjoy a healthy balance of giving and receiving everyday.
I am so happy to have the energy and desire to exercise my body 5 times a week.

Happy manifesting!
Blessings,

May is National Meditation Month! Free MP3 Download!!

Happy National Meditation Month!!!!

Meditation is such a beautiful way to connect with the deepest part of yourself, your team in Spirit and your own inner wisdom.

When I first started meditating 8 years I found it very difficult. I was easily distracted, making To Do lists, worrying about the past or the future. I knew none of these were good uses of my meditation time!

When I asked my team why I had such a hard time meditating they explained that I had this unreal expectation that my mind had to be completely blank for me to be actually meditating. Since I wasn’t able to do that - I was just giving up and letting my mind wander aimlessly about whatever it wanted.

They clarified that meditation was about calming the mind, but like anything, it would take practice to get better at it. So I committed to practicing. Sitting at the same time everyday for at least 10 minutes. Gradually it became easier. So much so that I started meditating at other times in my day, and for longer periods. Mediation became a very important part of my day. Not just something that I knew I needed to do, but something that I wanted and loved to do.

I have tried many different types of meditations over the years with guided meditation to be my favorite. I find it the easiest to keep my mind focused and it also strengthens my clairvoyance (because I am using my imagination to see the images).

In the last few years scientists have come to realize the many benefits of spending time in the Theta brainwave, so there are many guided meditations now that have binaural beats in the background that, when you wear headphones, your brain automatically goes into theta. Very powerful way to meditate.

My favorite theta meditations are by Kelly Howell - click here to go to her web page.
As a gift for you I have recorded a short (13 minutes) guided meditation to help you feel peaceful on every level. Click here for the link. Wear headphones to experience the incredible effects of the theta brainwave to further deepen your relaxation.

Many blessings,
Glenyce
